Beef Salad with Mushroom
This is a hearty beef salad that can be eaten in sandwiches or as a melt.

- 1/2 cup Diced Beef (freeze-dried)
- 2 tbsp Sliced Onions (freeze-dried)
- 2 tbsp Celery (freeze-dried)
- 1/4 cup Mushrooms (freeze-dried)
- 1 tbsp Mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp Mustard
- 1/4 cup Cheese- shredded (optional)
- parsley for sprinkling (optional)
Assemble freeze-dried ingredients and add warm water to cover.
Allow FD ingredients to soak/rehydrate for about 15 minutes (or till tender)
Drain off any excess water from FD ingredients and add mayonnaise and mustard. Mix well.
If eating cold, add cheese and parsley with mayonnaise and mustard and mix well. Can be eaten as a sandwich, pita, or wrap.
If making a melt, place mixture on bread of your choice and sprinkle cheese and parsley on top. Melt the cheese using your preferred method.
A little mayonnaise goes a long way with this recipe.
Just a reminder, this recipe uses freeze-dried foods which are not the same as dehydrated. If you are using dehydrated ingredients you will need a much longer soaking process. Always follow the soaking process on your ingredients label.
